| The Graham Robert Frechette Foundation was established by Luldes and Roger Frechette in honor of their son who was born into their hearts in 2003. Graham was born in Cali, Colombia on May 4th, 2003. Nine weeks into his life, Graham was adopted by the Frechettes from the Chiquitines Orphanage in Cali and made his home in Orlando, Florida. Tragically, in September of 2005, Graham lost his life in a jet skiing accident. He was only 2 years old. |

This foundation was set up with two major goals. The first goal is to provide financial assistance to the Chiquitines Orphanage. Continued monetary support will allow more people to experience the miracle of adoption that the Frechettes experienced by making Graham a part of their family. The second objective of the foundation is to provide financial assistance for grief counseling to couples who have lost a child. The divorce rate for couples who have lost a child is alarmingly high and counseling tends to be expensive and often not covered by insurance. wide range of emotions that come with losing a child and how to move forward in their healing process as a couple.
With the financial contributions to this foundation, the Frechette family hopes to continue to support the Chiquitines Orphanage and raise awareness of adoption as well as help grieving couples heal together. Through this foundation, Graham Frechette's enthusiastic spirit will live on in the hearts of many. |
